In the last blog I was still in doubt if the London series would be in like a silver green (old film look) vibe or just in hard black and white. Well I guess the answer is here below. I really loved being out on the street and photograph again. It was a struggle though. New city, new environment and a challenging weather. So in the end I might have not gotten the best that I wanted.

So this one took a long time. My best procrastination project ever. I mean, I love photography, but I don't know what happened the last few months — I haven't done a whole lot, and that needs to change. However, there are some projects in the making, but before we get to those, let's talk about Andalusia and how I never thought I would fall in love with that part of Spain. Long story short, it was epically beautiful and inspiring. Which makes it even more strange that I haven't done more photography after that experience.

It has been a while, more than a while actually. I have been in the rat race so to call, too much stuff going on, not so much attention for photography. I am trying to turn that around. And you need to start somewhere. So here I am. In my “backyard” again.

I have been neglecting photography for a while, not that I don’t want to but had no real inspiration for it. Until spring came along and the grasslands here blossomed. Perfect time for some local birding with my OM1 and the 300mmF4pro and the 150-400F4.5pro. All photos are taken in my local area and are common birds here. Maybe except one that I missed unfortunately so that doesn’t count. Nothing much more to say actually so I will leave you with the photos.

Its been a while, photography in winter this time wasn’t really on my mind. Except the one time on the beach when it was really a good frosty morning. The last few days saw some awesome early spring weather with sunshine and high temperatures. So why not go visit the dunes and see what birds there are this time around.

Finally the grey dull rainy weather made space for some blue skies and frosty morning here in the Netherlands. Love seeing the morning sunlight and the warm and cool tones it made me go back to the beach where (already two years ago) I photographed snow buntings. I got some nice photos, but not the perfect one. So time to go back.

I love the mountains and would love to go more often, but life does not always let you go. Excuses I know, but it is what it is. Therefor the German or Bavarian Alps were always on my list to visits as it is only a relatively easy 9h drive. So when it came to settle for a destination this fall for some hiking, mountaineering and photography its answer was easy…

Like my last post I am more enjoying cycling and taking the m43 kit with me. The flexibility and the enjoyment of getting to use that is quite a differentiator for me. Lets skip the whole full frame is better discussion and just shoot what you like!

A short blog as I picked up birding again after a epic summer break in California. The bucket list was checked in California, but more on that in the next posts. I just wanted to do some local birding again with summer ending. So I took the bike and the OM-1 and yes m43 still rocks! Can’t beat this combination for birding. Its compact and lightweight, but stil powerful and getting some nice shots.
