LONDON STREET PHOTOGRAPHY
Full screen photos below
In the last blog I was still in doubt if the London series would be in like a silver green (old film look) vibe or just in hard black and white. Well I guess the answer is here below. I really loved being out on the street and photograph again. It was a struggle though. New city, new environment and a challenging weather. So in the end I might have not gotten the best that I wanted, but I got what I needed and that was a break and full two days of out on the street dusting off my street photography again. Plus next post will probably be with another camera, spoiler its not m43 and maybe the best street photography camera that doesn’t cost 5k.
The main objective was to do a round in and around London City Center. I mean its all the center of London but I guess you know what I mean. I ended up starting at St. Pauls. Moving towards Tower Bridge and so on. Ending up in Soho and China town/street at the end of the day. Even manage to take a quick peak in the Tate Museum. The next day was more of just roaming, getting to the Barbican - what a cool place to photograph - and moving onwards to the British Museum and everything along the way.
All in all a very nice two days, tired but really fulfilling. I would really go here a second time, but then do a bit more street and less the touristy stuff. Now I had a mix of both plus I would really love a day with good light and shadows to really focus on light, shadow and lines next time.
All photos taken with OM-System OM-1 and two lenses, mostly used lens was the OM-System 12-40F2.8 II - some with the smaller Mzuiko 25F1.8. However my wide angle got used more and more these days as it was collecting dust the last months. Enjoy the photos below in full screen.
