ROTTERDAM AT NIGHT - STREET PHOTOGRAPHY
Full screen photos below
I am getting into it more and more, street photography is something I did way back quite often, but lost it during my photography journey. Looking back I don’t know why, but I am picking it up again loving it. Maybe you always get some sort of usable photos instead of going out in nature and are dependent on the weather and wildlife.
Anyway this time I was in Rotterdam at the end of the day, where the day was already dark and grey. In the end that helped a lot with the overall style and feeling. I am still finding my signature, not knowing if I will go full black and white or faded colour look. Still wondering weeks later. Spoiler, London street photography to come and still not sure what works best. Black and white seemed the way, but now in editing I am not so sure. Where Rotterdam felt blue and orange, thunder clouds and street lightening. London with rain clouds and grey buildings had sort of a green silver vibe to it.
Anyway will share the London photos later. For now the Rotterdam photos. All photos taken with OM-System OM-1 and several lenses, mostly used lens was the Olympus 25F1.2 pro. However tried my Sigma 56F1.4 as well, worked well, but a bit too tight. All are gone now (no not the OM-1 thats for wildlife). More on that later!
