Time to get to Girona to do some cycling, although not bringing a camera is not an option. This week was about cycling, getting to experience the north of Spain and when possible do some photography as well. The main photography was done in and around Girona in the old town, which I stayed in. A bit noisy, but the place to be, although needed to carry the bike up the stairs every time.

First some cycling photos shot by phone and in the moment. I don’t care as it was epic, the real photography I will keep for when I have the time and patience. Also not slowly dying on the bike and then to think of taking photos. Can’t have it all, right? I wouldn’t want it any other way. Next, proper photos, although still this was all about cycling.

I made some photos of the old town, the surroundings and at night. Mostly where taken with the Sony A1, however the mayority of the evening photos where taken with the Fujifilm X100F. I have a love/hate relationship with this camera. Its compact, has excellent image quality, but it also lets me down sometimes in this department and for sure at the autofocus department. But then it never fails to surprise me as well! A small little powerhouse. However, Fujifilm if you are listening (for sure not), the next iteration needs to have better autofocus (and proper back button focus), IBIS and a proper 3 way tilt screen as the XT-3 has, which I miss dearly on my A1 as well.

Anyway all things aside the Fujifilm still delivers even if its not the most recent camera. Goes to show that when go workaround the shortcomings there is always a photo to be had. With that cliche I will let you enjoy the photos as there is not much else to say, apart from an epic cycling week. Maybe I need to start another blog about cycling *wonders.

So there you have it! All shot with the Sony combo and Fujifilm X100F ! And don’t hesitate to leave a comment or an e-mail. Click to view larger in a light box and navigate with mouse or arrow keys. Enjoy!
